Tell us about your role as Managing Director, UK.
As Managing Director of PMX, I’m responsible for bringing together all the different teams within PortfolioMetrix UK – from investments and sales to client support, operations and marketing – and ensuring they work together seamlessly. My role is really about steering the business in the right direction, keeping our adviser partners and their clients front of mind, and making sure we’re delivering real value. A big part of what I do involves staying closely connected to the financial advice profession – understanding the challenges advisers are facing, and thinking carefully about how we can support them better.
What attracted you to PortfolioMetrix, and what keeps you motivated to stay?
With 25 years’ experience in financial services, I’ve worked in a number of roles and seen a lot of change in the industry. What attracted me to PortfolioMetrix was the chance to build something different – a business that genuinely partners with advice firms to deliver good outcomes for their clients whilst taking their business to the next level. What keeps me motivated is the people I work with each day: our fantastic team, our brilliant partners, and the shared sense of purpose that drives everything we do. There’s always something new to learn or a fresh challenge to tackle, and that keeps things exciting.
How do you like to spend your time when you’re not at work?
Life outside of work is full-on and fun! I’ve got a wonderful wife and three brilliant kids, so there’s never a dull moment. When I do manage to carve out some time for myself, I love to get outdoors – whether it’s going for a run, hitting the ski slopes in winter, or playing golf or padel (sometimes even with our partners!). Staying active helps me switch off and recharge, which is essential when you’ve got a busy job and a busy household.
What do you like the most about PortfolioMetrix?
What I value most is the meaningful impact we can have on the financial advice profession. Advisers face a huge amount of pressure – from regulatory demands to shifting client expectations – and we’re able to provide support that genuinely makes a difference. By taking care of the complex investment and operational elements, we free advisers up to focus on what they do best: building strong client relationships and delivering great advice. It’s incredibly rewarding to know that the work we do helps firms grow stronger, more efficient, and more confident in the value they provide.
