Tell us about your role as Partner Development Manager
My role at PMX is to work closely with advice firms, connecting them with solutions that support growth, improve efficiency, and help them scale sustainably.
What attracted you to PortfolioMetrix, and what keeps you motivated to stay?
I joined PMX having already known Alex Funk and Rob Starkey and I’d always heard great things about the business. What really stood out to me is how PMX genuinely partners with advice firms, taking the time to understand their businesses and the challenges they face and then building solutions that actually help.
I’d been aware of PortfolioMetrix throughout my career, so it was an easy decision to join a team that’s so focused on supporting financial advisers.
What keeps me motivated is the impact we make as a team. I’ve always enjoyed helping others succeed, so being able to support advisers as they grow their businesses is really rewarding. I also really value the community side of what we do, bringing people together through events, including one I run with a colleague.
I’m also keen to keep learning and developing and this industry definitely gives you the opportunity to do that.
How do you like to spend your time when you’re not at work?
I enjoy travelling with my wife, there’s nothing better than exploring new places, cultures, and of course the food. Some of my favourite trips from the past year have been Japan and the Maldives.
I also love cooking and tend to cook most evenings, which is something I really enjoy. I’m also someone who enjoys driving, so I’m always happy to jump in the car at the weekend and explore somewhere new.
In my downtime, you’ll usually find me playing a couple of PC games.
We’ve also got a little one on the way, so I’m expecting life to look quite different (and even more exciting) from August!
What do you like the most about PortfolioMetrix?
For me, it’s the people. We have a fantastic team across both the UK and South Africa and there’s a real sense of collaboration and support. It makes a big difference working with people who are not only good at what they do, but also genuinely great to work with.
This feels like a home.
