What is your role at PMX?
I joined PMX in the Partner Group team after graduating with honours from Stellenbosch University as Distribution Support. I currently work as a Partner Development Associate, where my role focuses on identifying and engaging new business opportunities, as well as strengthening relationships with our existing strategic partners. A key part of my role also involves unlocking efficiencies within the partner group’s operations; driving the team to execute with greater precision, consistency, and impact as we scale.
What attracted you to PMX?
Joining PMX as a graduate was initially daunting, especially without a full understanding of the investment industry, but what immediately stood out to me was the people. From the very first conversation, I was supported by experienced colleagues who are generous with their time, experience and guidance. Combined with PMX’s strong proposition, the firm has given me invaluable exposure, hands-on experience, and the opportunity to grow my professional network in a short space of time. PMX is a place where I knew I could learn, contribute, and develop with confidence.
What keeps you motivated?
I’m motivated by a genuine passion for helping financial advisers and their businesses deliver the best possible outcomes for their clients and investments. I find it especially rewarding to share PMX’s unique value proposition while gaining a deep understanding of advisers’ aspirations and pain points. At the same time, being part of a dynamic team with high levels of energy, focus, and a strong commitment to continuous development creates an environment that keeps me consistently motivated.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Outside of work, I spend a lot of my time with my partner, family, and friends; sharing memories, laughs, and quality time together normally over a quality bottle of wine. I also have a strong love for travel, especially experiencing new cultures through food, music, architecture, scenery, and meeting new people. I’ve set myself a personal goal of visiting at least 10 new countries by 2030 — wish me luck!
Why do you stay at PMX?
As a young professional, I believe my most valuable asset is time, and from the moment I joined PMX, every second invested here has delivered an immense return. It’s rare to be able to make a meaningful impact so early in your career, and I genuinely feel valued for the contribution I make.
